Icons are the small images located on each thought in TheBrain. (See nodes in the adjacent navigation screen.) Icons are frequently used in combination with text colors to identify specific types of content, as illustrated in the child thoughts at left and the legend slide below.

In some cases, larger images and photos will occupy the icon spot, and will expand substantially if you hover your mouse over them. For example, hover over the image in the Jump thought to the left of Icons in the plex, and see it expand.
